This is an example of a typical short-form music review (c. 800 words). The headline says it all -- Jeff Goldblum's jazz album, "The Capital Studio Sessions," is an enjoyable, hilarious romp through old-school jazz.

'Ello, Gov'nor!': The Brits Bring Down the House on Governors Ball Night Two

Part one of a two-part piece on night-2 of New York City's Governors Ball music festival, this article is a classic example of live performance coverage. The festival, attended on press passes through The Michigan Daily, is one of many examples of the newspaper's national reputation as one of the top student journals in the country.
